Should this article be split into different articles for each type of SAM launcher?

I did some testing. With a laden F/A-26 at 360 knots and an altitude of 30,000 ft, approaching the SAM launcher head on, and the launcher linked to three MAD-4 radars at different aspects (to avoid detection being a factor), these are the distances between the launcher at target at both launch and interception:

Missile Range at Launch Range at Interception
BSM-66 8.22 nm (15.22 km) 5.81 nm (10.76 km)
BSM-66LR 22.85 nm (42.32 km) 16.02 nm (29.67 km)
FLKM-100 23.80 nm (43.89 km) 15.74 nm (29.15 km)
ASM-66LR 24.44 nm (45.26 km) 16.76 nm (31.04 km)
MAD-4 28.63 nm (53.02 km) 21.52 nm (39.86 km)

I realize that ranges have been removed from this article in the past due to the large number of variables that go into determining missile interception envelopes, but some data-driven estimates may be useful for mission creators.

Seperate articles for launchers and missiles.

Since the capabilities and ranges of missiles depend mostly on the missile and not on the launcher, I believe that seperating these would be nice, so that, for example the tech specs don't need to be weirdly convoluted for different missiles.

I agree, that might be a good idea. Though I do wonder how we would set these up. Should every AI missile have an individual page, or should they be put together into one large page where all the AI missile information is held?

Maybe have some sort of page like "Sam Launcher/Missiles" would work.

Perhaps. We would need to figure out how we could reasonably fit infoboxes on that page without getting any weird overlap like on the MFD page. The example you said would create a sub-page similar to F/A-26B/Hardpoints. I like this idea.
