"Medium range anti-radiation missile. A modified version of the AGM-88 with a shorter overall length and narrow stabilizers. Reduced engine burn time."
― Weapon Description

The AGM-88S is a shortened variant of the AGM-88 Anti-Radiation Missile available to the F-45A and EF-24G.

Unlike other anti-radiation missiles, this missile is only available to aircraft with a TSD and does not utilize an ARAD display to lock-on and fire on radar-emitting targets. Compared to the AGM-88, the AGM-88S has an overall shorter length and weighs 36 kg less than its contemporary. It also features slightly reduced engine burn time.

Usage

The AGM-88S behaves in much the same way as the standard AGM-88. Despite its reduced engine burn time and slower overall speed, the missile's low drag design allows it to reach targets at similar distances, if not surpass, the range of its predecessor.

The reduced size of the missile allows it to be stored inside the internal bays of the F-45A. Leveraging the aircraft's formidable stealth and electronic warfare capabilities, allows the pilot to effectively perform SEAD missions.

Deployment

  1. Enable the Master Arm switch.
  2. Open the TSD page and set it to SOI.
  3. Select the AGM-88S as your current weapon.
  4. While holding the flight stick, use the thumb stick to slew the TAC over the desired radar contact. Push in the thumb stick to lock the target.
  5. Position your aircraft towards the radar contact.
  6. Once in range, the Range Launch Authorization Lights will come on and the aircraft's Voice Warning System will announce: "Shoot!" Pull the trigger to fire the missile.
